i resently purchsed a 92 accord with a stock f22a n i want to go dohc what do i need to do can i just swap the head or do i need to swap the whole eng:cool:

1500 but i wanted to know if i can do anything with f22a block n just swap the head. i still need pain n a lowering kit n suspension

Yes, you can do a head swap. An H23 or a dual-cam F22B head should be pretty much a bolt-on affair. H22 is doable, but is a tiny bit more complicated. For $1,500 though you could probably find an entire H22...

first of all there are no duel cam F22Bs F22Cs yes but that is out of the S2ks. the H22 and H23 are the same head. if you want a good swap, then drop in a H22 or H23 engine. It will be easier and more reliable. and $1500 is enough if you shop around.

Sorry, but pretty much everything you just said is straight up WRONG. Next time, research before you post...

EDIT: I was on my phone when I responded before, so I'll take the time to elaborate a bit now.

The H22 and H23 heads are NOT the same. The H23 heads are non-VTEC (for the most part). There is a rare JDM VTEC H23 engine that's pretty similar to the H22, but most often when you're talking about an H23, you're referring to the 160 horsepower non-VTEC dual cam engines that came in the 92-96 Prelude Si models here in the United States.

And yes, there IS a dual-cam F22. It's a JDM motor and it's very similar to the USDM H23 (dual-cam, non-VTEC, about 160 horses). Look it up.

Like I said, don't just assume you know things. Next time, look in to it and see if you're right before you answer...
