Hey guys,

Not going to bore you all with a long story...

situation: Starter bolt bracket broke, so JB welded the bracket back on, replaced, started fine, was driving down the highway and hit a bump, all of a sudden now...

Car in ANY Gear = NO movement..
When using the gear shifter it just slides into any gear with/without the clutch in.. it doesnt seem to make a difference.
I can HEAR the gearbox putting it into gear, and even REVERSE will not move the vehicle.

when in 4/5 gear it sounds like somethings grinding.. while it just sits in gear with no clutch it or anything.

Now.. : I changed the clutch 650KM ago, everythings been fine, no problems what-so-ever. this happened on the highway while in 5th gear doing 110KM/H.. not speeding, anything.

Any help/suggestions/tests would be great thanks guys!

Also when I give it gas it any gear or neutral, it revs so quick and the actual speed sky rockets to like 200km lol..

Sounds like you need a trans. I bet if you drain the gear oil you will find lots of metal partials in it.

Differential or maybe the clutch? but the starter fix makes me think about the flywheel......Take it out and look at the clutch/flywheel first.....then you might need to get into the trans or buy a used one.

Hey Cafrog,

Thanks for taking the time in lookin into this, you've helped me before and its really appreciated.

I just had the flywheel Resurfaced and a brand new clutch(650KM so far) into it, also replaced the throw bearings, etc full clutch kit.

The reason the starter went is because it only had 1 bolt in it and it wasnt all the way tight(good job mechanic) and so the bracket broke, got a new starter today so im going to install that when I get home and also check the tranny fluid for metal flakes.

Will update this in about an hour and a half.

Problem Resolved...

idiot Mistake..

When i remove the alterntator, I forgot to bolt back up the halfshaft for the axles.

Epic fail.

Lol
