if any of you have ever played the trumpet (or any brass instrument for that matter) you'll know just how hard it is to hit those high notes at the end.

The rotary breathing was bad ass too. breathe in through the nose wile continuing to blow out the mouth.

watch his nose. he unloads his lungs, filsl his mouth, and breaths in through his nose while still blowing out.
 
kenny g does that too. it's pretty impressive. not a lot of musicians can do that.
 
The mouth piece he's using is specifically made for those high notes. The breathing and the low shit he's doing is much more impressive to me since he's doing that without a classical mouth piece which is designed to play the lower end of the scale.

I played trumpet for about 8 years, and while I could never play like that to save my life (especially the breathing) i couldn't help critiquing.

When trumpet players can hit that high G, they have some talent. I have a few buddies that can circuit breathe, but that guy could have chose something besides the same 3-4 notes to play the whole time...
 
i played the trumpet for a while in school.
i could hit the high notes using a classical mouth piece. which is the reason that i was always first chair. nobody else could hit them, nobody could take first chair from me. lol.

but, the circuit breathing, thats pretty cool. never could do any shit like that.

i would see them live.

that guy was pretty bad ass on the trumpet.... i know that shit is super hard to do. does look like it would be a good live.
 
I used to play the trumpet in middle school and high school. I used to be able to hold my breath for over two and a half minutes while sitting still

I thought my comp froze or something. I have two friends that are better than that. Or at least were at one time. They use to have trumpet battles. As dumb as that sounds, it was actually pretty awesome.
