I have a 95 DX, with a D15b7. I'm taking out the motor and can't get the shift linkage out of the transmission. I pulled the boot back and took off the clip and what looks like a spring pin will not come out! Anybody have any idea on what to do?

this is called the 'bitch pin' for obvious reasons. just take a nail/etc and hammer it up. it's just tapped into place and should come out the top.

just finished taking a bitch pin out about 15 min ago. ive tried tons of ways but what ive found to work the best is an air hammer with the chisel bit ground down to slightly smaller than the bitch pin hole. one squeeze of the trigger and its out.

The 14mm power steering mounting bolt works mint. its long enough to hold, and its got a rounded cylinder shaped top that seats right inside.

I use a screwdriver bit identical to this one. Worked every time.

I got the bitch pin out, after I detached the other end of the shift rod and took the motor out with it still attached and then took a screwdriver like what GlassHeadlights recommended and pounded the hell out of it and she came out....I didn't have enough swinging power underneath the car.

a 1/4 inch ratchet extension works awesome for me... at home... at the shop, the air hammer works wonders... and breaks shit...lol
