I'm wondering, will you have to have gold status to take advantage of the free week? My Live expired a few weeks ago and I haven't renewed, but since the PSN is down I might as well spend some time on Hulu. Assuming I can of course...

I don't think I will be paying for it. There really isn't that many shows on Hulu that I have a burning desire to watch. But it is another note worthy feature.
 
just about anything on abc/cbs/nbc/fox is on hulu. it would be worth it to me if i could watch both new and old episodes.
 
Has anyone found any benefits to paying for this service aside from being able to watch on your xbox, ps3, phone, etc. I signed up for the free week. Then I went online and was able to load a bunch of shows without logging in. I can hook my computer up to my tv and watch online for free. It is just commercial free? I will watch a few commercials and save the 7.99 if that is the only benefit.
 
Honestly I'm not sure. I am going to look into it more this evening
