Definitely a sample of Eminem's song....I think the commercial itself is a different concept from Chrysler's though.

The commercial is also not for the US market. And I highly doubt the rest of the world has seen the ad for the crapt-tastic 200.

Additionally we don't even get the 2012 A6 Avant.

chrysler shouldnt even be in business

so as far as im concerned, let everyone steal from them. they deserve it.

:lmao: they fucking ripped it off. i dont care what you think of the company, if that commercial is real, and was just released, they ripped it off. big time.

Dude, its been years now. Get over it. If they fail again, it'd be even worse for us than the bailout in the first place. You're pretty much a shareholder with no rights. lol

If I'm not mistaken, Fiat just paid off the US Treasury anyways, and they're negotiating to pay buy the share the Canadian gov't owns as well.

But yeah, the commercial is stolen.

I really don't see how anyone could say that Audi ripped off the Chrysler vid. First, I think that the audio track on the Audi one isn't even a real version, just some shitty copy. Second, that Audi vid sucks and the chrysler one is actually decent (purely a judgement on the video, not the car quality). The only real similarity I see is that they use a similar audio track and they are both filmed at night. Big deal.

That's the point. It's a shitty rip off and the knock off song is the biggest giveaway. Camera angles, cuts to random people and buildings. IIRC there was a cut to a theatre in the Audi one too. A lot more similarities than just being shot at night. If you were a random person from somewhere that didn't know Detroit's plight it would have the same feel too. and that's what they were counting on.

eh, i guess so. I didn't watch all the way through the audi one to see a cut to a theatre.

Just watched it again, it wasnt a theatre, it was a club with a similar marquee styled front. And it came at 00:15. haha Oh, and most of the Chrysler one was in the daytime.

lol businesses (small and large) fail all the time. this should have been no exception. i am happy that chrysler repayed what it "borrowed".

the commercial is a blatant ripoff. lmao.

it's more then just about letting a business fail, do you want to see 60,000 people out of a job? or 150k+ people if both Gm and Chrysler went out...i'm pretty sure that wouldn't have helped either

Yeah but the issue was long-term vs. short-term effects. It wouldn't help either if you bail out the company and it still never recovers...and either you have to keep pumping money into the company to keep them afloat(where simply giving the employees unemployment would be cheaper) and/or the company still ends up shutting down.

Ah not this shit again. They turned around, luckily disaster averted. /discussion

How can you say these commercials are the same? Besides the similar audio I don't see it. Chrysler is a cruise around Detroit with a monologue. Audi starts with a cruise around somewhere but ends with "spirited driving", the fencing guys, and no monologue.
