ouch. thats some shitty luck, are you going to try and fix this?

I feel your pain. I wrecked into some old foagies that pulled into on coming traffic with my 3 day old toyota tacoma. Pis$ed to say the least.

A regulation should be set. Road test all drivers at the age of 60 and every 5 years there after, testing depth perception and the ability to safely drive in general.

Old people go down hill quick. atleast every two years after 70. We say this now, but think when we are that old and still want our independence.

Yeah, it's a tough call to make. I'm 57 and still have a couple racing karts that I take out on the track from time to time - still like to smoke up the tires on the Civic behind the nearby Kroger store. John Force is 61. Chris "The Greek" Karamesines is past 80 and still gets it done in a top fuel dragster. Lots of NHRA drivers are over 60 - Gary Densham, Warren Johnson to name a couple more of the top of my head.

Some of us don't/won't slow down till the end, others much sooner. Then there are the one's that are dangerous from the beginning. When they get past 60 look out.

OP - sorry your car got trashed - hopefully nobody was hurt.

The worst part of it all the assphuking ya take from the insurance company with anything that's non-stock. I'll shit if mine gets wrecked or stolen. I can relate to you CivEX 00. I"m on the tail end of a $5k engine upgrade in my '91 hatch.

i hate old people as well,my last ef hatch build, just out of paint an put back together,an a old lady backed up down my drivers side from fender to mid rear quarter, not a good feeling, made me sick, went back to bodyshop,an go figure a week after i got it back an old lady backed up into the front end at walmart to get a parking spot,,so up urrrs old people,

I feel as if once you reach a designated age, say 65, you should be required to retake the drivers test again on a more frequent basis. Too many times do i see old people cut someone off, not signal, almost cause an accident or do cause one... More so then the " average " driver.

Good idea. While at it, they should put GPS and throttle stops on 16-30 year olds male driven cars - those that "Profile" into a high risk potential for "Street Racing" such as all Turbocharged cars......

Certainly anyone with performance modifications in a street car will exceed posted speed limits - otherwise, why 250-500+ horsepower in a street driven car?

Shouldn't such a vehicle be limited to offroad only use? Or monitored closely?

sarcasm or not, you know how much effort it would take to monitor as many cars as people are modifying these days as it would be to have someones name pop up in the system saying "TOO OLD- LETTER SENT" and a notice arrive in a mailbox requiring a test be taken?

T_T

TR90 no sarcasm or hate intended bro. :)

My point, that I didn't do a very good job on making ,was about control and regulation. Performance parts, any aftermarket parts could easily be banned.

Control begets control. Our government already controls too much and it's always "for our own good".

The more shit they control, the more they want. Where does it end???

Well this quite relevant. I got rear ended in my brothers Scion Xa today by a 55year old diabetic with a reported blood sugar level of 30. He was doing 50mph and smashed full speed into my car. Scion is totaled and im sore all the fuck over.

and this is "WHY OLD PEOPLE SUCK".

That has nothing to do with age, and everything to do with improper management of a medical condition.
