You have no clue how many times I have to hold my tongue when I hear someone speaking spanish here. I HATE the fact that they come to OUR country, and can't learn the freakin language. This is why I still think that anyone trying to cross illegally, should be shot on site. No exceptions.
I have no problem with people speaking their native language amongst themselves, but in a public forum it should be the national language. Especially after 20+ damn years.
Speaking English has nothing to do with crossing over illegally that is a different story all together.
For the most part damn near every Hispanic I know whats to learn English and anytime they have free time they try.
The #1 thing they're told when they try to talk with an English speaker so they can try and practice and learn more English is.
"Learn English or go home!" Since they just get shit on from the get go they learn to not say anything at all or to never ask questions.
I've worked in the food business for 10+ years in a pretty heavily populated Hispanic area (DC/MD/VA) So I've had my share of Hispanics both friends and employees, Americans straight up shit on them. Even the ones who have every correct document needed to be here. Many don't speak English even thought they know how to speak it because they already know before hand the person they're in front of already has a big F you on their mind and its aimed directly at them since they're dressed differently or have a different look then your North American born Hispanic.
It's a waste of time for them and honestly after being around them for a long time I see a whole different side of the debate and can easily agree with them in doing so.
Is there Hispanics who come here illegally and shit on this country? Yes, is their American born people who shit on this country daily, just check out your local paper. Hell, look at half of our gov workers..........
For the OP video, he was stupid for doing that, even more so when he clearly knows English.

Not sure how to break this to you but um...
North America does not have a national language. Some states do but only about half of them.
No shit?! I don't mean it literally, but it is pretty much the de facto national language. And thank you invisible for the most obvious other point. lmaoNot sure how to break this to you but um...

north america isnt a nation. thats the continent that we are located on. as well as mexico and canada.
we're international baby.
Oh and my mom was part of the first generation of her family to come to the US from Costa Rica, and I cant say how much they got "shit on" by others because I wasnt there but every single one of them learned how to speak English. As did the rest of the family that came over later. If you really want to do it, you will. If you do, you know you'd be expected (though of course not legally obligated) to speak it in a public forum.
The things that piss me off the most about the illegals is that they undercut legitimate businesses by doing the work for rates that most people could not live on. A lot of them are sending the money out of the country.
