not a bad plan..... as long as you build internals a b18 is a b18(given its not a type r block) and the ls b18's actually have a slightly longer stroke and of course the b16 head flows better
its not too hard to get 200whp out of a lsvtec build like you are describing. do some research, there are a million builds on the net. if it was me i would go with compression somewhere in the 11s, some good cams, nice proven bolt-ons like a triY header and skunk2 intake manifold for example.
Yea im going to fully build the head first and build for high compression (port and polished) then move to block and be4 I put it in I will probly get new bolt ons like intakemani, fuel rail, injectors, and fuel pump
You could just build the b16 up ya know. I made 333whp with one 3 years back. It was sleeved and i had an LS crank, b16 eagle rods with JE piston along with a 16g.
Or if you have the loot, find a b18c1 and build that.
I got a b16 vtec head on trade for a tattoo. I have the b18b1 ls motor. bored .40 over performace rods, piston and rings, 70mm throttle body, ram air and have a t3/t4 turbo I want to install as well... can I use this head or should I just go with a b18c1 head instead and sell this vtec head? any advice anyone????????/
