Hey guys, i am new to the site and new to the Honda Game. My name is Ozzy and live in South Texas (The RGV). I have alot of Questions, but first wanted to Say hello so, "Hello". I was looking into a 'DPFI to MPFI'. I have a 1989 Honda Civic Hatch, with a 4 speed m/t and a D15B2 engine. The engine is stock to my knowledge aside from an Intake. I was wondering on the parts i needed, and if any one could point me into the right direction. Also, if any one has this for sale and how much you want for it. New to this so let me know if you need any other info etc.

short list of parts:

for obd0:
d16a6 distributor, complete intake manifold and fuel line to the filter. Resister box, and a pm6 ecu.

For obd1 conversion: intake manifold, fuel line to the filter, and distributor from a d15b7. a p28 ecu, obd0 to obd1 jumper harness.

Lots of wiring supplies ie: solder, heat shrink tubing, e-tape, bulk wire etc.

Use the search function on this site. There are a number of good write-ups that can walk you through the process of doing a dpfi to mpfi swap.

On a side note: if you are going to go to the trouble of a mpfi swap, see if you can find a complete d16a6 with an si trans to swap in at the same time. It would make a great upgrade for little money.

How much more or less do these swaps cost?
I found a complete B18C1 swap in my area for $1500, do you think its a good deal?

A B18c1 complete swap for $1500 is a great deal if it comes with motor, trans, axles, ecu, shift linkage, and writing harness. You will need to rewire the engine bay for mpfi. You will need new motor mounts and a bunch of other small and expensive items
