TTB weekend at Thunderhill with NASA. Got 2nd on Saturday and 1st (I think) for Sunday. I was in 1st on Sunday by a good margin until my clutch went and ended my day.

First part of the vid is my fast lap followed by a spin. I'm only starting to figure out these tires (Hankook z214 C51's). They make no noise at the limit, which I'm getting used to.

2nd part is an rx7 having difficulty. That 2nd off actually resulted in a grass fire that black flagged the entire track so they could put it out.

wtf, 360 then immediately off again haha. i can see you turn your head in the vid like "WTF?!" haha

LOL, that is exactly what I was thinking.

And that guy also started a grass fire there. I guess something under his car was too hot. He and the car were fine, I think he drove back onto track after it started. But shortly after that they black flag the course so the fire crew can put it out. It started to get pretty big. Glad to see they're equipped to handle this out there.

looks like you lifted completely on your spin where 10% throttle/etc would probably have kept you straight. I noticed you ran through some dirt/schmeg on the track a few corners before it, and that may have 'glasses' up on your tires.

I felt the car was understeering out of the turn, I did a slight lift to bring it back in. That was what allowed me to spin.. :(

Damn!

That Rx7 could have and should have handled that a little better especially letting you pass him instead of remaining in front.

Are you still running a lot of negative camber in the rear? Seeing you spin a few times, even trying to get the rear to rotate with throttle doesn't seem right.

If you stayed on the throttle you may have pushed and tracked out too much, I don't know obviously because I wasn't there but I know the feeling of trying to get the rear to rotate with throttle modulation and not getting it right. Rear end gets light, spin city.

Camber has me curious though, my friend is running about 1-1.5 in the rear on Hoosiers with his del sol and about 2ish in front.

I am, I'm going to get the car re-aligned by another friend of mine who setup my car previously and I really liked it.

Exactly, I was afraid I would track out too far and get 2 wheels off on exit. I felt I had better chances of throttle modulation to get it back in line, i was wrong.. :p

I used to run about 1.5 rear, I think I'm going to go back to that..

LOL, there are two paths to take for turn 5. We were taking the bypass and the right is the "crows nest". It was coned off, but I didn't really have anywhere else to go.. lol
