about to order the JDM h22 from hmotorsonline.com and wonder about exhaust setup. the shop is gonna do the custom piping but for the muffler... do i need to order a del sol or a prelude one. staying all motor fyi. take it easy on me i'm new to the game i know how some of ya'll get lol
 
header will be for the engine
exhaust will be for the car

make up the difference at the cat
 
thanx boss. im looking at the apexi universal exhaust 60mm inlet and 90mm out.... this worthy?
 
another question, im going from a d16z6 to the jdm h22... will my fuel pump, oil pump, and radiator work that i have now for h22 or will i need the engine appropriate parts? just trying to get my checklist of parts taken care of before i order my engine next week. i wanna do it right the first time.
 
im not real familiar with these swaps but if im not mistaken youll need mounts axles rear tranny braket but everything else should be fine. its also if you want my personal preference that you put a b-series tranny on it with the h2b conversion witch can be found hear. comes with everything you will need.

yea ive been seeing these h2b swaps but for spending 1500 for a kit to put a tranny on is wild. i'd almost rather boost the damn thing lol the shop i've been talkin to the past week or so who's doing the swap is convincing me to boost it. they all have h swaps in their cars and all boosted as fuck so they know the h22 inside and out. so i might be going that route instead of n/a. thanx for the info tho cause if i stay all motor, def doing h2b.
 
You should drop in better pistons if you plan on boosting any serious power. The h22 is a better n/a motor in my opinion. Best of luck to you.
 
yea thats what my shop said too. what kind of pistons ya'll recommend? i wanted to do a full JUN build if i can cop enough loot but im open to other companies if the price is right for sure.
 
i also was interested in doin a h22, like wise neverdone a swap. i want to put it in my 3g prelude which recently had the b20a5 engine and tranny, i was wondering if i would be able to hook the h straight to the stck tranny or would i need to buy the h22s stock tranny.
 
i know i need different mounts and what not, just dont want to buy new tranny or clutch since they are still workable.

No, the B20 transmission will not bolt up to the H22. You will need an H or F-series tranny...
