Ok i lost spark out of no where in my b16, teplaced every thing in the dizz and was getting spark to the coil with test light but not to cap. Replaced cap three times and still nothing. Borrowed my buddies dizz from same car and it fired right up, he took his dizz back so i bought a new one now im back to spark coming from coil bit not cap. WTF is going on? What am i missing?

is there a lose wire in your cannon plug? might have been jsut the right plug in push on the buddies distributor...

Yes its a reman. And ive checked all wiring looks good. Its a napa reman and i know that they can be bad but napa is usually good about that. My stock one is doing the same thing.so other than robbing mng my buddy im out of ideas

Does any one have q test light they can pull a wire off the cap and see if its even possible to read it that way maybe im going the wrong way

Ok so im only sharing this with you guys because i love this site and it goes to show you any mechanic can make an easy mistake . I decided to look over every thing one more time and foynd the problem. Napa ships there dizzys without a cap and rotor i was excited to get the car running so much that i didnt bother to look for the rotor. Went to napa bought one and the car fired right up. Lmfao. I know lets hear it!!! Thanks for your help, and i cant wait to hear what some if you are going to say.

Well.......now you are one step closer to being a Honda Wizard yourself :rimshot:

Did you mistakenly say CAP and rotor? There's is no way you would be able to hook up the spark plug wires

But seriously......glad it worked out.

On my current swap, I did something stupid and didn't pull a hidden piece of plastic up on an ECU plug to seat two pins in all the way.
I was led in the right direction and she fired up today! Learn and thrive! Complacency about one's ability with car mod's
and car care cost too much money. I can't afford to have someone else do it for me!

you are a ratard lol

Just kidding, I just had a brain cramp and created a check engine light because I forgot I had a cut wire at the ecu....I have been working on hondas for half my life and forgot a simple thing as well so dont sweat it :)

Sorry but the title screams for this

NAPA "ships" or "suckers" you into buying the rotor separately.

do most companies ship reman or new distributors with a cap and rotor?

mitsu/cap/advance does not for my engines either. you buy the cap and rotor separately.

The car started but now im having another problem i had my ecu unplugged for about three weeks when i started the car it didnt sound right so i hooked my laptop up to the s300and it said i had 3% of fuel in the third cylinder and 0 in the rest. It seems my tune has gone out the window how is that possible? How can i get the settings back?
