hi i have a stock 1995 del sol si and i want to swap it with a 2008 s2000cr motor tranny everything i want to make it a track car and rear wheel drive. what would be the best place to take it to for rear wheel conversion and the motor and tranny swap. and could i get 400hp with out a turbo and 600+ with a turbo.

Go invest the $10k and wait until it doubles or triples.

Go buy an S2000, turbocharge it.
Remove all body panels from S2000.
Remove body from del Sol, duct tape onto S2000 chassis. Stretch panels where necessary to fill gaps.

this is not an ideal swap. I have a guy now asking for help putting a s2000 engine into a crx. I told him I don't have alot of time to waste even if you have the money. Re-think it, you could build your b16 to whatever hp you desired and this will be the easiest route to take.

For all the money you'd spend putting this car together you could just buy an S2K. I've seen used ones on AutoTrader recently in the 14-18 grand range...

Also, I don't know why you're fixated on the CR model. The CR's engine is the same as a regular S2000. The difference in the CR is the suspension, wheels, and body kit/weight reduction...

laugh at this thread, just buy an s2k. Oh and good luck getting 400whp NA out of that motor. LOL, where do these people come from??
