I've been reading some articles on this site and they're excellent! That's why i'm wanted to ask you guys a question. (i'm a noob by the way) I have read that vtec only engages if the vehicle isn't in neutral and is moving. I have a 92 civic which was automatic and was converted it to manual, the shift selector is still there tho, if it is in neutral would my vtec engage or does the vehicle just need to be moving despite being in neutral? if not what should i do. The car doesn't have it's original engine but i plan to put in a vtec head which i recently obtained. The car is already wired for vtec tho. Thanks in advance!

thats got to be it lol, i hope. if that is it then thats not gonna matter as long as you have the correct ecu and no check lights.

no i mean the plastic thing that slides at the bottom of the selector, it os the circuits that shows on the dash board the position of the automatic shift selector.

how the hell you put manual shifter and still have auto selector left??? hmmm... I dont think you will have enough room with all this plastic to shift in 1st and 2nd gear
and damn i want to see some pics of how it looks

oh ok i was thinking more that you still have auto console with gear selector left.
and why you still have this thing in your car, why it wasn't removed when you got gear box installed??? its just pointless at this point to have it unless you have plans to go back to auto
