fast Q type r motor

I will swap b18cr motor but I must stick with ls tranny now

a guy want to race me with his stock gsr with gsr tranny vs my stock b18cr ls tranny

do he have a chance to win the race ?

I thought that type r has a good torque will keep up with that long tranny !!

its very likely the GSR will win. the ls gearing will let the type R motor fall way out of its power range on every shift.

the good think that I didn't buy the motor before I ask

so I will put the money to make my b20 to b20vtec I think it will be better with ls tranny and better chance to beat a gsr

thats not gona change a thing. if you want it to be faster in a drag you need a shorter geared trans.

what about b20 non vtec with b16 tranny will be better than b20 vtec ls tranny ?

you stand a chance with the ls, you'll have to shift 100rpms before the rev limit without bouncing it to keep her in vtec though...

The C5 has 3 more ft/lbs torque than the GS-R motor, plus you have to rev it up 1,000 RPMs higher to get at that torque...

I so I will get a short tranny then think about the motor

& I didn't know where the 3 torque
