Im looking in to rebuilding my b18c1 what all should I do to it to get it "turbo-ready".

I want to punch out the cylinders, eagle rods, pistons, and get the head rebuilt...i was curious if anyone knows any successful builds

i would deffinately say get new sleeves, pistons, rods, cams. make sure the motor can handel the psi you want to throw at it.

i saw a guy who ran stock interanls on a b18c5 with like 30 something psi of boost and sent a piston through the side of the block into the rad.

that is deffinately not what you want to do unless you want to waste money which i doubt you want

i would personal put an ls tranny on it aswel. some may say go for the type-r but it becomes preference i guess at that point if you want longer gears or shorter ones, type-r will most likely give yu a faster car from what i know but i could be wrong

Stop dispensing advice. Immediately.

First you need to decide how much Hp you want. Once you know that, you will know how much you need to build your engine. A healthy GSR can handle enough boost to make 350hp with stock internals. I would probably go with ARP head studs though. If you want more hp than that and you want reliability, that's when you need to upgrade your internals and sleeve your engine. Stock sleeves usually pop around 450hp on a GSR. Once again, this is for a healthy engine. If your engine is not fresh than it needs to be before you boost. But if you do have your engine refreshed don't spend a bunch of money on getting it sleeved and forged internals unless you planning on making alot of power. You don't have to do that to make a fast reliable street car. Anything more than 350 hp without slicks and your just going to be spinning your tires anyways.

Ive got the same engine swapped into my '92 Civic hatch, and its good to hear it could handle ~350hp.. how much boost would that take to get a almost stock engine to that caliber?

This is what I got done to mine...

B18C1 bottom end, ITR cams, Hondata, Ferrea valves, Crower springs and retainers, Toda cam gears, 3mm gasket to lower the compression, APR studs, Skunk 2 manifold, Inline Pro turbo manifold, T3/T4 Precision turbo, Tial wastegate, Greddy Type S blow off, Walbro 255lph fuel pump, RC Engineering 550cc injectors, Inline Pro fuel pressure regulator and rail, Russell stainless hoses and filter with a 5Zigen exhaust... I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but I run 18 lbs of boost and have over 18k miles on it since the build, daily driver and not one issue.
