as you may have noticed, facebook has changed... again.

and i dont much care for it.

it seems that no company understands the need for simplicity.
and im sure that google+ will head this way too.
but, i think in the next 6 to 8 months, facebook will go the way of myspace.
it just bugs the shit out of me that i have to make a new account.
dont they know the saying of: if it aint broke, dont fix it?

eventually, i think i may just give up the whole social networking thing. i dont even actually talk to the majority of the people on there.

It's horrible (the new Facebook.) But here's the kicker, they're changing it in such a way that theyre trying to copy Google+ as an attempt to compete I'm assuming. Funny part is, same as you its driving people TO the competition. Much like Google trying to be so much like Bing that I'm actually starting to use Bing to get away from the new stupid features.

I don't know how many times I've said if it ain't broke don't fix it on Facebook.

go to the settings and change your language to English UK.

and it changes it back to what it was before.
so, the americans are the guinea pigs.

facebook started going downhill the day they allowed non-college students/Alums to join. IMO.

This was a few months after I had already deleted my account.

Whats the point of facebook if your mom and your kid sister can join?

*shrug* never been into any of the social networking stuff. i was when i wasn't getting laid but that was back in the myspace era.

as much as the new fb layout sucks, google + is still useless....

i agree, for now.
but facebook is doing stupid shit, i guarantee googles membership gained a lot during the past 12 hours.

you're looking at this the wrong way. facebook is giving it's customer the options of two comparable products. if you evaluate the attrition rate of facebook customers (members) that move to google versus the number of customers that you can retain by offering a similar product, it makes 100% accurate business strategy.

most people will either say, "why go to google, i already have everybody on facebook and they are extremely similar" or they will think, "i'm too lazy to open a new account, there is nothing to gain".

it's the smart thing to do. i'm sure that facebook has been working on these renovations long before google+ was around. coding and testing like this doesn't happen over night.

nothing good has ever come out of social networking sites

unless you're looking for some new, and/or diseases

what other website(s) can get you in as much trouble for having someone listed as one of your "associates"?
the only ones i could think of are ashley madison, or secret gay lover or some shit

I get a pretty good returns from social networks. A lot of my friends are scattered about the country these days and its more convient to talk over facebook. As for jumping to Google Plus ive tried to get people over there but it hasnt caught on. Unless there is a major ground swell it wont happen. It will be a haven for nerds and early adopters.

linkedin.com is good. and that can be defined as social networking. but as recked said, NOTHING good has come social networking sites. I can keep track of my friends with a phone if they are that good of a friend.

I do actually like linked in. I feel like helping people on linked in will help me when i need work in the future.

I like Facebook to keep family updated on what me and my family are doing. I post pictures of my daughter and my race videos. I hate talking on the phone so Facebook is full of win for me.

Plenty of good comes on facebook. I've re-connected with people long lost 10 + years ago and would have never come back in contact with them most likely otherwise.

werd... its just fucking annoying how they keep changing shit up.. like said above.. if it aint broke, dont fix it
