San Antonio is one of the few places in Texas that I've never been to before. I'll be there October 11th through the 14th.

I know all about the Alamo, and others have told me to visit the Riverwalk and El Mercado. Anyone live around there or know the area for other things to do?

I'm not big on giant tourist traps. I'm a big foody, so I love trying to find some of the best restaurants in the area. Not necessarily the most expensive, but hole in the wall local joints.

I've been told I need to go to Rosario's and to Lulu's Cafe. Any other stuff I need to do while I'm there?

no, not really. lol

the riverwalk is highly overrated. but it's one of those things you just need to find out for yourself. there are some good restaurants there. i would check out the food network. it's also the birth place of the fajita, so there is a lot of good mexican food.

Lüke just opened not too long ago in SA, pretty good, ate there last weekend. Other than restaurants, I don't remember a whole lot to do there that was "fun", or at least anything that is more fun than anywhere else you'd do the same thing.

just buy a gun and walk around with a cowboy hat. I can't think of anything much more fun than doing that.
