Here it is finally... our J35 swap in an S2000. I know it's really really ugly, but I couldn't wait to post it up online. To my knowledge, we're the first ones with a running J block in the S2000.

Built at Intercrew Auto Salon in Garland, TX (NE Dallas area)

A few things aren't hooked up yet, but the car starts on its own, has all the plumbing connected (minus intake and exhaust), and it pulls like a monster. First startup on the dyno once the fuel system was in place yielded 269hp/286lbft at the wheels, and that was stopping at 5k rpm. Over 220lbft was available right at 2000rpm! The goal is to build up for all motor and turbo, and shoot for 9000rpm to keep us rev-crazy S2000 people happy.

Enjoy, and please ignore the ugly- especially the floppy trunk lid. It'll get cleaned up- I promise.

Although yours is white isnt it? So i'm guessing crashed shell and some fun.

Yes, all stock hardware inside the block... so you can see the potential we're working with when the unmodified power numbers look like that!

Yeah, mine's white. This was a wrecked car that was bought specifically for this purpose. It's not a good idea to develop a new swap on a customer car! Plus I wouldn't be posting about suspension and brake installs if my car was in the shop for a swap... although I guess I did do all that at once with the Civic.
 
so its going to be all motor? or turbo?

seems like it might be a lot of fun to do a NA build with. bet it will sound nice with a good exaust too.

Both options. I don't know how this one will end up (probably all motor drag car, maybe demolition derby?), but the plan for my own block is to go all motor. Just trying to sort out how to pass plug-in inspection on an OEM ECU with high compression and big cams.

Exhaust, think 350z. It's about the same size V6. I love the 350z's exhaust note- hoping that I can do better.

makes you wonder why honda didn't use that engine to begin with.

The plan is to install the swap turnkey into customer cars. We can build one for you. ;)
 
how much would a setup like that cost? i can't imagine it would be more economically viable than a supercharger or turbo kit.
 
Yea, and that's exactly the same reason no one ever K swaps their B series car. :rolleyes: The superior torque and power band would be very enticing especially in a rear wheel drive application like the S2K. And to throw a turbo on top of the J? It'd be like Honda's own little Cobra. If you've got the money, why not? :shrug2:

It doesn't sound as ridiculous as some, but straight forward isn't exactly the phrase for it at this point.

Mike, that's nice. Does the hood close without cutting, or trimming? Have you thought about the "other thing" we talked about?

How did you mate the motor to the trans? Adapter plate or does it bolt up?
