Anyone familiar with Acronis?

So I reinstalled Windows 7 x64, got everything I want installed to this point, and did a backup. I used Acronis True Image, my dad gave it to me, and said it works good, but the image that it made is only 5.7GB, and the install on the drive I backed up is using 28GB of space, but is reported as 19.3GB if I open C:\ and select > right click > Properties. What's the dealio y0?

Hmmm, I don't know if the .tib is compressed or not, I'll have to look into that, but I assumed that a backup image wouldn't be compressed. The process of creating the backup seemed to happen pretty damn fast, so I didn't think it had time to write it, and compress it. It only took about three minutes to create the backup image.
