Anyone know the difference in spring rates between say a 94+ LS and a 99 Civic EX? I am looking to get a slightly better suspension on the EX, but can't afford after market right now, figured the tegs are heavier, and have more power, so it stands to reason they will have a stiffer suspension than a Civic, and I can get the stock suspension for next to nothing.

Also, I forget, did all tegs, have rear sways? Cause if they do, I am off to the yard tomorrow :)

all i know is i put some ek springs on the teg and it had the raked look bad.. slammed front (guessing from the engine) slightly higher rear

and yea.. i believe all tegs had rear sways.. i think LS is 13mm, GSR 14mm, ITR 22mm(usdm) 23mm(jdm)

Cool, I was there this weekend cleaning out what I could scavenge and completely forgot to look for the sway, hopefully every one else did too.

I'd still like to know if the rates are worth the time to remove and replace them.

stock springs? chances are it'll lift the car a bit

If you plan on going after-market later it seems like a waste of time to do suspension twice, but then again, I'm just lazy, lol...

Problem is we took a cut in hours at our shop, and I am probably going to be picking up the mortgage on our townhouse in a few months, so money is going to be tight for the next few foreseeable months. It really depends on how much I can get the OEM teg suspension for, if it's <$50, and provides even a mild improvement, it's worth it to me. I am hoping that sway is still on the teg at the yard, that will be a big improvement.

So looking at that the EM1, or GSR's would be the better choice as far as balance goes.
