so I guess I took my electric heater turner-oner thing that goes in the center of the dash over the radio and lost it somewhere. but now it winter and I am shivering and cold and my windows are fogged up. is there anyway to short circuit the connectors so the heater turns on? all the wiring is still connected to everything but the console :/

Let's throw "Climate Control" into your vocabulary lol.

If you manually set the heater control valve to allow coolant to flow into the heater core, you can just run 12V's straight to the blower motor. Your blower motor will take a shit sooner than later though lol.

"Temperature Logicon". Try that on for size !

I remeber there was a cable of some sort going to the white box under the passenger side of the dash. thats the valve? I'd rather not kill the blower motor though. maybe just stick a paper clip in the right places like ppl do when theyre checking obd codes?

This will get some heat in the car.....its what I do but it takes longer than if you had the blower hooked up.

Here's one on Ebay for $40 (92-95 Civic.....cuz I can't see what your car is :shrug2:)

Oops, pardon me.

So, I pulled this valve thing open. maybe. I pulled it towards the engine. Did I do it right? No noticeable difference. But I bought a nice thick jacket and some gloves, so I'm no longer hypothermic =] still would be nice to have a defroster though. I don't think I care whether it's warm or cold air anymore. I just want some air blowing on that windshield so I don't crash into some innnocent. Bought some of that rain-x stuff so we'll see how that works tomorrow!

now commencing reppage. prepare your angus.
