so im finishng up my sawp got most of it all finished i tryed turing the key when it finoly came time but no start......i tripple checked my wireing everything looks good new cap n spark plugs..
the thing is right now when i get the motor it had the internal coil n the harness i used for the motor is from the f22b2 that had an external coil..i luckly had a h22 distributer with external coil laying around but i dont have the coil to it..so i grabed the coil off my girlfriends car that has the f22b2 and threw it on just to see if that was it but no luck does it have to have the h22 coil or shold that have worked???
any help would be apreciated its been a big headache lately
heres a link to what it sounds like just to get a better idea..

H22a cd5 swap no start - YouTube

another thing i forgot to mention i cheked my spark with the crewdriver trick n cylinder 1 and 2 have plenty spark but 3 and 4 have hardly any spark at all im not sure if it means anything but like i said any kind of help ill take thanks,

yea theres sprak and fuel i recently noticed the h22a that i have the clock dials on tops of the naifold that say the year is a 91 should that make any effect on my swap since as far as i know the swap should be done with a 92-95 h22?

if you have spark and fuel then your timing is off. That is the wrong manifold but that should not affect the car being able to start.

im 110% timeing is dead on. it got new timing belt and water pump before i started the swap. and the manifold is the original one i just took it off for some paint while i was waiting for some parts to come in. im now starting to think my vtec controller is doing something thats not letting it start so im just going to disconect it all and c what happens

95 accord h22

anyone?[/QU
I just finished my 95 h22a into 95 accord ex. First i would get the internal coil engine harness, because your ecu might not recognize it then get the h22 distributor and gut the insides and replace it with a 94 (obd1) d16z6 internals. And lastley make sure your fuel injector resistor box is wired in right because without it it will never start. Accord injectors are like 10 omhs while preludes are 2-3 omhs.

for the harness i just briged two wires together that went to the dizzy and the yellow and yel/blk. i have the h22a distributor i guess my netx thing to try is the d16z6 internals and see what happens. and for my resisiter box whitch one should i be using then i didint think that materd?? i have both prelude and accord resisiter box as well is there a special way they should be wired up because they both plug right in?

man triple check your timing since u changed the belt. i had the same problem on my f22 i took the belt off and then i put it back on. turns out someone moved the cam gear when i had the head off. it was getting loads of fuel and spark but no start. so check ur timing marks and make sure they are dead on

make sure you have the firing order right. if you have spark, fuel and it is in time you could either have the distributor out 180 degrees or you have the spark plug wires out of sequence.

I had my accord resistor box so it had to be rewired ( i didnt do it) but if u have the original resistor box of the lude then i would use that one.
