rattling strut??

a friend is having this rattling going on w/ their 01 Civic LX sedan.. here is a video of the sound.. any ideas of what this could be?

i was just thinking though.. this sounds like a blown strut

Damn, that doesn't sound good. It sounds like a loose strut more than a blown one to me.

could be the mount top too. I had a strut literally go right up into the truck in my del sol. The center shaft just popped right through the top.

it is either the strut or strut hat. a quick visual will let you know which one it is.

Agree'd my coupe did this in the rear... another idea is the struts metal shield is lose and banning agent it.. least what it sounds like to me
