Don't see any discussion of the game.
I waited until the actual game to see any of the commercials.
Some were funny, some sucked.

The game itself was pretty entertaining, kept it close and competitive throughtout.
Some of the calls were a little wtf, especially the non-calls.

Halftime show, meh it was ok, nice to see a bunch of different artists involved.
But that whore MIA can go fuck herself.
Don't get me wrong, the middle finger doesn't offend me, but you have to realize that there are people of all ages and walks of life watching the game.
I think the FCC should fine HER, and not the nfl or nbc.

I don't know of any GOOD parents that would want their kids watching someone flip off the entire nation during the halftime show. I am sure she was pretending to be a badass, but in reality she did it for marketing and to create a buzz about her name.
Another sell-out ruins a halftime show.

edit: and she's british to boot, way to tell america to go fuck themselves

Well as a Giants fan i'm so use to seeing them never getting any calls. There were clearly a few that were obvious such as a couple pass interference and some face masks, but hell, after watching all the blown calls or lack there of from the Green Bay, game i'm not surprised.

The over all game was awesome....I was at the edge of my seat a lot of the game. Barely have a voice today but still made it to work.

The commercials were good but i thought there were definately better ones in years past.

I actually liked the Audi one where the vampire guy disintegrated all his friends with the headlights.

where did you copy and paste disintegrated from?

on another note, i hope MIA gets deported and never allowed to return to this country, and boycott her music as well

the america "halftime" and recovery theme of some of the commercials was heart warming
shows the american spirit is still alive, at least in the people who don't mooch off the gov't teets.

audi and hyundai commercials... loved them.

Heard the Clint Eastwood Chrysler commercial was pretty bitchin'. Didn't watch the game, still don't know who was at the half time show, when they stopped hiring artists with 3 feet in the grave I stopped caring.

outlook :)

Didn't watch the halftime show either...who the fuck wanted to see Madonna...was out smoking Cubans and Drinking Oban for that period of time

I missed most of the first quarter, fell asleep late in the third quarter, woke up to see New England's last drive fail. Fuck Eli and the Giants. That is all.

Until I saw the dodge logo, I thought that was going to be a Obama campaign commercial.

I thought the game was a glorified chess match. Not much drama. Not many good big plays besides manningham's catch.

Commercials were ehh. Ok.

i thought the giants had started the celebration champagne during halftime the way they were playing in the 3rd and 4tf qtrs.
epic fails for the patriots in the 4th

Didnt watch the game, never been a fan of team oriented type sports. That and nobody was having a party so I didnt have another excuse to get drunk.

im trying to wrap my head around the fact there is a movie based on the game Battleship..

This! It looks like quite the popcorn movie, I'll go see it.

They're making a whole string of boardgame movies like that, I hear there's a Monopoly one on it's way, too.

All I really watch the game for is the commercials, and they've been pretty lackluster for the last few years.

The only truly good one last year was the Darth Vader kid VW commercial:

The Force: Volkswagen Commercial - YouTube

And I can barely even come up with one worth linking to this year. The only decent one I can recall right now was the Chevy Apocalypse commercial:

Chevy Silverado "2012" | Super Bowl XLVI Ads | Chevrolet Commercial - YouTube

Or maybe the NSX commercial. Here's the extended version:
"Transactions" Extended Version - 2012 Acura NSX Big Game Ad #JerrysNSX - YouTube

The Pepsi ad with Elton John tried too hard (and I didn't recognize the singer at all), Coke wasted _3_ spots with those stupid bears (granted they never go for laughs), even the Doritos commercial was lame.

For the most part, Superbowl commercials have really gotten lame in the last few years, I don't know where the good marketing firms have gone off to. I could find better spots during a colonoscopy.

What?! The Doritos "you didn't see nothin" commercial was pretty good.

You're right, I forgot about that one (althought that says something about the ad too), that one was ok. I was thinking about the slingshot baby one.

I liked that one as well. I haven't seen one that topped the magic 8 ball one a while ago but i thought they were enjoyable.

Memorable ones I can think of off the top of my head:

Robert Goulet Emerald Nuts

VW Darth Vader

Doritos finger licker/pants sniffer

The Budweiser lizards/frogs

The eTrade baby before they got lame

Office linebacker (Reebok?)

Trunk monkey

EDIT: Oh and Snicker's Betty White, even though they're running the theme into the ground lately.
EDIT EDIT: Betty White singing this year was neat too. :)

I guess I really like weird humor/slapstick in my Superbowl commercials, but that's what stands out, brings in the eyeballs and makes people talk afterwards.

I really enjoyed the Superbowl this year. I love big plays and such but i really enjoy seeing a game come down to strategy as well. I guess thats why i can watch a full baseball game and can stomach Nascar. I liked the NSX commercial too. The etrade baby speed dating line i thought was pretty good too.

ill repost what i posted on FB.

all these "omgz America is teh best!!1!!" commercials are getting annoying. GM and Budweiser are both horrible lol.

we get it, "renew america!" "yay" "go team!". trying too hard. i liked the clint east wood comercial just cause hes a badass. i honestly thought the ad felt more right wing than left, but thats just me, i didnt look that hard into it, its a car commercial.
