In Sunny Southern California It’s Now Illegal to Toss a Frisbee on the Beach
Yes…seriously.* All those college days on the beach fondly remembered…no more.* The wise folks in L.A. County have decided that throwing frisbees or footballs on the beach is far too dangerous for the public.* The fine for violation?* $1,000.00* Can you say “nanny state?”** Now only criminals will have frisbees and footballs.

:gayflag:

why do people even live there? only thing i can figure is all those homos like the govt up their ass.

well, what he is saying is that it is only illegal if the lifeguard deems the activity too dangerous, and then you ignore him...

I live here for the overpaid job in silicon valley doe. And the nice weather. Skiing only 2 hours away and the beach (Without Frisbee's apparently) are only an hour away.

Politics do suck out here though..

The climate is too strong of a draw for someone who hates Chicago weather... Even with the crappy politics and crappy emmisions laws and crappy state budget and crappy earthquakes and the fact that it will probably fall off into the ocean at the end of this year, we're still planning to move out there eventually for that beautiful god damned weather.

yeah i guess, there are worse places to live (like chicago, evidently). the politics would absolutely prohibit me from ever considering living in CA. i like guns, cars with no catalytic converters, and of course... frisbee on the beach.

Illinois has most of Cali's crap already... Illinois and California are the only two states in the union that prohibit concealed carry. Our politics are probably even more corrupt, and our budget isn't much better. The only thing that would really sting is that pre-obd cars were recently completely exempted from emmisions testing in Illinois.

CCW is only prohibited in some counties. With Gov Brown passing the no open carry law, I suspect some lawsuits will occur to allow people to obtain CCW.

Dude you can still play frisbee or kick a ball...You just can't have a full blown adult game of soccer amongst a group of children or otherwise sedentary adults. Frankly, that seems reasonable. I have been to beaches in San Diego, Orange, LA, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties and there have been football, soccer, and frisbee activities at every single one. For the record, this measure is only for LA county, which has pretty shitty beaches anyway, with the exception perhaps of Zuma?Malibu

The overpaid jobs always seem to accompany overpriced houses....
