A friend of mine that we wheel with has one and has been beating the piss out of it for years, 2in lift and 29s and it goes everywhere the jeeps with 35s go.

the newer trackers don't hold up to a beating like the older samurai's
we've lost 2 motors to low compression, and one auto trans failure, in a mud hole
disappointment

I forgot to comment on it last night, someone buy the Si quick so I can snag that!

a guy at the end of my street has one all fixed up.. i've heard they're pretty badass offroad

Those things are AWESOME offroad...those and Suzuki Samurais.

You can gear them down, lift them, throw some 33" Rice & Cane tires on it, and have a BADASS offroad machine for less than 6 or 7 grand, including the purchase price of the vehicle. I've always kinda wanted one

I never knew until now that these things were built on boxed frames with an FR layout. From the 5 minutes of research I've just done, it seems like one of these would make an awesome trail rig.

This is my friends, and the Jeep next to it is on 37s.

That makes sense. It's the same in NH. Gnarly beat to shit turds with big blocks...All the trucks they build out here are super mint with really expensive parts and shocks and tires...
