Turbo 93 Honda civic lx 4dr

Ok this may be dumb to ask but wth.
I was thinking I can use a turbo from a dodge stealth or something else and install it on my civic.
I know I may need to do some modeing to it but be for I start I just wanted to know if that would work?

I'm going to do a rebuild on this car an drop a dohc in her but a turbo for now would be nice. An every where I look its almost over 3k for one. I don't want to spend that kinda money on this when I'm just going to blow it .

You don't just slap a turbo on. It's not that simple. There's tuning which will set you back a few hundred. Getting piping and having it bent, that's not free either. Going to have to buy a turbo exhaust manifold, probably a bov, turbo will likely need to be rebuilt if you want it to actually work for more than 100 miles, intercooler, more than likely you're incapable of doing this work yourself so you're going to have to pay someone in labor, probably $60-$100 an hour. I'm guessing minimum 10 hours of work MINIMUM. So building a turbo is cheap, but it's not that cheap.

Why waste your money if you don't plan on even keeping it? There is no reason other than you're an idiot.

Edit: And I'm just scratching the surface here, I haven't built one myself but I wouldn't undertake it without some serious research and a healthy budget.

Now onto the point...I want to make.... Turbo kit on ya SOHC... wow for like 1.5K you can go upto 160-170Hp with a good tune ect.... Or you could spend 1.5k on a B series like LS or even a GSR swap and OMG almost the same power and a better platform.

I did read your post, jackass. You simply lack comprehension of 1.) how a turbo setup works and 2.) the costs associated with going turbo, and therefore couldn't grasp the sensibility of my answer...

I did think about the price of swapping an I would be paying about the same.

One more thing. The bov that comes with this turbo is crap .what are some good ones?

If the $800 was for an entire turbo kit, then all of it is probably crap, not just the blow off valve. But don't worry, when your engine grenades or that crappy turbo falls apart on you, you can always go and do the engine swap at that point...

Except you'll be minus $800 that could have gone towards it...
