Baltimore County's water billing problem

Always fun. We move in August 9th in Towson. Water usage gets split amongst the apartments, can't wait for this to be an issues..

i pay a flat rate here.. so no matter what i use, i pay the same every month.. $60

wow, thats wicked expensive.

my bill is about $80 a quarter (3 months) and includes sewer.... and I live with E, so you do the math. lol

i have a big yard to water.. so no matter how much water i use.. its the same.. works for me

Well I'm a college guy and therefore roughing it. The way our apartments work is they take the total usage for the complex, pay the first 25%. The other 75 is split amongst the rest of the complexes, should work out to roughly 20-50 dollars total for the apartment, split amongst me and my friend I room with.

So, according to the city:
I use an average of 855 gallons per day.
I used 84,000 gallons in the 98 day period of last quarter.
They last read the meter on the 17th of February. (probably bullshit knowing Baltimore County...)

My water bill was $163.76.

The best part is that a significant portion of my water line runs under a parking lot of the owner's restaurant. I wonder how big the sink hole is.

Water Billing Inquery

Lol, look at this site. Jesus.

Also, just put in a ticket to get "Miss Utility" to locate my water lines. Should be interesting.

Water, sewer, trash service and heat/AC (for the actual heat and cold, I just pay the electricity for the furnace fan) is $110/month for me. Garbage chute about 20 feet from the apartment door, awesome after 12 years of pulling cans down a 200ft gravel driveway.

Yeah, I'm out of the "live in an apartment" stage in life. Next place I move will either be a house I own or to another foreign country.

My water bill is $30 a month, and my sewer fees are now at $8000. I have never paid them. Always the first people to get the "No... Not enough money this month.." They are trying to take me to court, but I have no date yet. And I think I'm up to like $12,000 on my town taxes.

Once I finish up my degree I will get there. I'm only 21 so house is just not feasible at this point.

in NY they just tack on any water/sewer/maintenance performed by the locale to your town taxes once a year.
I wonder how much money they rake in on that final quarterly statement before the tax rolls come out, right at the bottom of the statement it says any amount still owed as of date, will be added to your town taxes.
