2004 919. 11k miles. 100% stock. Hardley a scratch on it (for now). Picked it up for commuting purposes and the occasional joy ride. I couldn't be any happier. It was between this an an SV650.

Yupp! His is flat black. I think I'm going to do the same rear fender delete he did. The dorky mirrors need to go too. This thing seriously hauls ass compared to the old dual sport. I was laughing like a little kid the first time I pinned it through 2nd gear.

 Too bad you're too small for the Alpinestars jackets Im tryin to sell too. :\

idk, you look small in your pics. like an inch tall! lol They're 3 x but AStars run smaller. They are a "European cut" so they fit like 1-2x. They're snug on me and I wear 1-2x T-shirts.

Wrist Twisters is the only forum I know that is mostly for the 919 LOTS of resources there.

919 is an awesome bike, it does nothing great but does everything well. I love mine and wish I found it years ago.

My bike is Smoked color, same as yours but without the glossy finish.

It's a Honda Hawk in the rest of the world, 599/919 in North America.

Bike is made in Italy and is one of the best selling bikes in the world. Although it pretty much failed here like most other sport touring. Americans want full blown cruiser or super sport. Nothing in the middle.

Jeff, how has yours been doing with fuel consumption? I got 41 on my first full tank through. When sitting at idle, the exhaust smells pretty rich. I'm guessing a re-tune would do wonders.

919s are known for being stinky. Best thing you can do is run 87 octane. Mine got a lot better with 87 but it still stinks.

Yes you can retune it but even then people still say it can be stinky.

My fuel light normally kicks on around 110-120 miles. I ride 99% back roads and I haul ass. Anyone who has rode with me knows I'm a really fast rider, always within my limits though=). Whats really funny is when I'm on my 919 and straight up lay waste to R1s/1000RRs on backroads only to slow down and let them catch up to me later. They always ask WTF IS THAT THING!!!!! I just say its my beater sport touring bike.

Whats funny is that at Honda, nobody knows what a 919 is. I counted 86 motorcycles out front today too. Not one 919/599.

Another reason I love my 919. It's rare yet still cheap.

Haha I was out gawking at all the bikes. A place full of car/bike guys means there is an enormous variety. There seemed to be a record number out today so I got a count. Favorite one is the new Speed Triple. I'm not even going to respond to Chaz. I thought of a few, but they all just come out bad.
