hi there 1st topic for me!
i have a d16z6 motor under my hood i want to go from this engine to a b series engine
maybe a b16 (vti?)(im from greece 1 liter of petrol here has 1,85euro)
can i keep parts from the d16 like the driveshaft?or i have to go to a full b16conversion set?

the thing is this
this eg was my oncle car ad he had originaly a b13b2 engine under the hood
i have bought the esi conversion for my vehicle (i choose d16z6 instead of b series motor to save some bucks) but now i want to go to b series
here are some price tags from a dealer here in greece
full conversions

what do you guys think is better for me? the prices include engine.ecu, transmission, wire harness nothing more
sorry for mistakes that occured

You'll also need the shift linkage, at least the rear transmission mount (connects near firewall), and axles

If and only if your current engine harness is working perfect with the D16Z6 swap.....you can use it for B-series motor. You'll just need to extend a few lines to meet the sensors and such on the B-series motor.

B16 transmission's 5th gear is kind of short. It helps with the low torque of the small displacement engine. This means high rpm cruising on the highway. So commuting will suck up more gas than a B18B or B18C (GSR) 5th gear.

My favorite B-swap is a GSR B18C. It will be fast and still get 12kpl (32-34mpg) with a responsible foot (not drag racing everywhere)

More power and a better 5th gear for highways.

Only thing is you will need to run wiring for the IAB's and Knock Sensor. These wires are ran from the sensors to the ECU. The B16 doesn't have IAB's but it still needs a knock sensor wired up.

Those two sensors are not a part of your D16Z6 so they must be added unless you run a chipped ECU that has them deleted I the programming.

Stay with a OBD1 swap.....since you have a OBD1 set up right now.

yes my d16z6 swap is perfect-complete
if i do the swap to go b series i must find a vti conversion
160 hp b16a2()its going to be cheaper right?) but its gonna be complete with engine driveshafts altenator axles.engine mounts+++++etc i alredy have a p28 ecu do i keep it or i can sell it?
i must found and someone to buy my d16z6 conversion to gain some money back first of all
today i got my car with my new paint on it now its white with black hood !how much badass?
my engine bay is still red thoe but when im going to swap in to b series im gonna paint the engine bay white or a different badass color

Here in the USA....a B16A2 is OBD2 so be careful. It will work but takes more work. You wand a SiR II OBD1 B16A

You also want a OBD1 P30 ECU for a B16A. Sell the old motor, trans, axles, shift linkage and ECU (it will not work a b-series motor without a chip)

yes i will sell the d16z6 conversion i bought it last september for 1200euros i will sell it about the same price +/-
the whole d16z6 conversion is in perfect condition, all belts are new,new water pump, and some other minor things
here in my country i heard alot about the hasport engine mounts are they so much better than the stock oem?

d16z6 to b18b1

So im doing a swap i got everything i need but im not sure what axles to use will 94+ integra axles fit or do i have to combo if so what's the right combo

OEM is fine. You can even use 3M windshield welding compound. It's black goo that hardens to make OEM mounts a little stronger. But I've ran OEM mounts with bswaps for over 12 years daily with no issues. hasports are nice because they are strong and hold the motor/trans when there's a heavy load but they also are stiff. You'll feel It rattle the car a lot more when you are idling.

i havent decide to go b16a3 or b18c4
but for now im going to collect money
and we wil see...
something more i beliecve that you can find obd1 to obd2 conversion harmness is that right/possible?

Man...tons of possibilities and ways to make anything work. But.....like I told you...you SHOULD stay OBD1. Or...read a lot more (hundreds of threads) and start learning.

Anything you are reading About a conversion is for OBD2 chassis trying to run an OBD1 ECU.

You are already OBD1 with the D16Z6 so why are you thinking about stuff I have tried to stray you away from? Is your selection that bad?

There's really no choice there, B18C4 ...do it.

Mechanic shouldn't charge more than $300ish, give or take, mount you will use a mix of the B18/16 and the ones you have now, the axles will be fine, the B series axles fit in your D series cars hubs.

so I have a 94 Del so si witch is a d16z6 I bought a engine complet b16 sir obd1 with 30k miles my question is the harness on the b16 is cut I wanted to kno if I can use the same d series obd1 on the b16a obd1 I just bought. Will it just slap on or do I need to modify some sensors ?
