I don't see myself getting any more 1200's any time soon, so if you are in need of parts PM me.. I've got some rare stuff and some that's getting rare. From engines and trannys to body parts (over 30yrs of stuff)

YOU tell me what you are looking for and I'll get the pictures to you.
I'm busy, so it might take a day or two for me to get back here.

Thanks Errol

i just got a honda 78 civic- only to find out the block is chipped where the oil filter should be.. when i got it, i thought is only the screw part, so thought of welding it, as the broken piece is there, but actually found out the entire corner on one side of the block where the filter would sit is gone..

im thinking i need an engine block or perhaps the whole engine.

wasnt able to PM .. so i posted.

I can ship you out a whole bare block. 100.00+ shipping.
Shortblock would be more. I'd have to look at it (dig it out of my shtuff)
Is it a EB1200 or a ED1500?
HOW the heck did it get broken there?

Where are you?

Errol

great..
what does it mean "whole bear blk" ?

i have the owner's manual with me.. car is stuk 30 miles from here, Seattle, the U-distr... will look it up right now..

just in case- aperfanov@gmai.com

BARE block is just the block and main 'girdle' to hold the crank shaft in. and main bolts. That's it.
Short block is block, crank, rods, pistons/wrist pins. (and of course, rings associated to those pistons)

i will most likely be interested in Short Block, to a whole engine..

And where would this shortblock be shipped?

You do under stand that this shortblock will need to be re-built and one can't just get it in the mail, and figure on installing a used 30+yr old 1/2 engine, thinking that it's already in PRISTINE condition..?

Just need to clarify some items..

would ship to Seattle.

i understand it weighs about 65kg.
without the head - less..
never before have i shipped such an item, my guess is i might have to transport it from the receiving dock

from there on- is a rebuild, best i understand it..
a good spare time project

i dont have all the details pounded out - im fresh into it..
was able to locate rebuilt engines on the web, but reading your post infused a sort of inspiration, with the timing and all..

basically am hoping to get a good price on this antique, hard to find item.. consider it a lucky strike to be communicating with you. all the other relevant posts are from years ago :)

I'm really busy now that I'm retired. I'll try and get some pics for you in the next few days..

Excellent. This will give me just the time to find out if it's EB1200 or a ED1500.

All you have to do is Open the hood, what does it say on the valve cover? CIVIC or CIVIC CVCC? or if that throws ya, is the exhaust manifold in front or rear of the head?

Why not post a pic of the engine compt?

E

hi E, i sold it for profit :) to someone perhaps a little more youthful than me that would do the restore and have fun; a little sorry to let go, but have another car project in mind;
thank you for the posts;
A.

p.s. it was 1200
