A B-Series running on E85 with nitrous? Dunno why, but this thought popped into my head the other day. I was wondering what a B-Series would put down with like 13.0:1 compression on E85 and like a 100 shot to top it off.

I know, prally another worthless thread that wont go anywhere, but Im curious now. I got to see a full emission compliant T/A with a 427 put down nearly 600 horse, N/A. So, I figure a Honda with nitrous wouldnt do bad lol.

Well i agree with VPT that's if it actually made it past staging, unless you were sleeved, arp studs, fully forged, and ported & polished head your 100 shot turns into a pile of liquid metal and some steaming pissed track official's, now i do know E85 puts some incredible numbers down that is after a good 6-8 hours of tuning!

WTF are you talking about? I didn't feel like typing a large post last time but thanks to you here I go.

The ITR motor was on stock sleeves but forged internals, the head comes with a LIGHTLY polished head out of the factory and no additional porting was made. Also It was tuned in a few hours, No need for long tuning sessions unless your tuner sucks or you feel like you need to make the absolute max power and make sub 5whp on half degree cam adjustments.

The guys here have tuned stock engines on E85 boosted and make great power, so I don't see why you couldn't do it with nitrous. If I had E85 in my area I would build a 14:1 build that huffed more nitrous than Steve-O.

In conclusion I don't think you have a fucking clue what E85 is and how nitrous works.

Looks like its time to spread some more negative rep around. I feel it is my duty to slap retards with a big red badge that screams HEY EVERYONE I'M A FUCKING RETARD!

Thanks for doin it for me guys. I was gunna let the first retard run with it.

No problem, I hate it when people are trying to spread misinformation around. If I don't know what I'm talking about, I don't talk out of my asshole. Too many people let their asshole do all of their talking for them, it's fucking annoying.

Haven't neg repped anyone yet, spread too much around, I will tomorrow.

lots of guys tuning e85 these days... only problem ive heard of is getting a bad batch of fuel on a rare occasion, but thats not the tuners fault. i dont see why you couldnt add nitrous to a solid all motor e85 build.

Ive been hearin the same about batch quality.

Id just like so see how much more of a boost in power the nitrous would give with all that compression.

E85 is crap! I use it to clean parts and it barely can do that much. Everyone I have seen try to use E85 ALWAYS goes back to normal pump gas. It can make power sure, but the car will always be a hard starting, bad idling, funny smelling POS. When I am out at the track I can hear a E85 car start and die 12 times and know exactly what it is. Not worth the trouble.

that my friend is a shitty tuner. plenty of east coast cars running E85 with no issues. some in MA are even daily driven.

Why would you use E85 to clean parts? Thats like cleaning parts with whiskey(very strong whiskey).

E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline Just in case you didnt know.

People that go back to pump gas are idiots that dont want to shell out the cash for larger injectors, fuel pump, and tune.

I also agree with TurboMirage that hard starts and bad idling are tuning related on a street car.

most wild built cars at the track start and die a bunch of times before they reach operating temp no matter what the fuel is due to lil things like a large cam, piston to wall clearance on a cold start and the most important operating temp.

One more thing, if I have to start my car a few more times running E85 I wouldnt mind because the price of 110 vs the price E85 is quite a bit...But you wouldnt have that issue unless your running a dragster.

Thats funny, cuz every E85 car Ive seen has started quickly on the first hit, idled crisp and clean and smelled like tasty french fries.

Then again, my friends know how to set cars up properly.

I see most of you live in controlled climate environments. Cold weather does all kinds of things to vehicles including hard starting on e-85. Guys that don't want to shell out the change for fuel pump, injectors, and tune? Really? these aren't broke kids, these guys have big money in these cars and the "extra" crap for E-85 is a piss in the ocean compared to the rest of the car.

I can see this forum isn't for me. Trying to get away from the "honda-tech" type.

Seattle isnt exactly warm.

The stuff you need for E85 isnt extra. You still need all the same parts just different types.

If you don't like this board then there's the door asshole, don't let hit hit you on the way out.

Thats what I am talking about. Grow up kid, you never know who you are talking to.

Sad that hondas get their "punk kid" reputation because of people like you. Sorry to have wasted "your" time everyone. Good luck in all your adventures.
