was there ever a manual all wheel drive crv with a b series engine?

yes.

all 1st gen crv's came with b20b/z's, with 4 wd (not all wheels drive) and 5speed optional.

hmm I didn't know that eather I though only the 2 wheel drive ones came in manual flavor.

even the newer gens have manuals offered:

So the first gen covered what years? is the 5 speed 4 wheel drive rare? The reaso i ask is because i was to put the drivetrain into an Integra.

It's a waste of time. its like 95% fwd, 5% rwd, and there's no subframe/etc to mount the rear end too. lot of work for something thats basically useless.

if you want an awd or 4wd or rwd car, buy one. hacking an integra won't get you there.

i have read about a few peope that awd'd their civics usingthe crv transand transfer case, and the rear end from the older civic wagons... but they have a hard time timing everything right... i agree with b... with thte time and money spent on trying to do all that to an integra... might as well just go for an evo...

and yea, the honda elements also came awd stick shift... my dad has one... and im pretty sure i burned out the differential last winter trying to do donuts with it...

Yeah, Honda Tuning did that a few years back. They were able to make it work decently enough. It hasn't really caught on though...

I'm thinking about getting a CRV and turbo that shit. I just need to read a little more about what all has worked (reliably) for people. Doesnt really matter to me if its FWD. That way it's less stuff to fix, and it would make a si or gsr tranny swap a lil easier. If I do it, I'll have the fastest 1st gen crv in charleston lol

FWD = swap away, but the 1G FWD was auto only. You'll have to convert it. The AWD versions were stick by default, auto by option. No, there's no particular reason why I've been researching the hell out of 1G CR-Vs lately...      :D :calban:

I prefer FWD mostly because less crap to remove, and it should weigh less without all the 4wd system.

I just kinda look at the B20's in a CR-v like it should at least have a pretty decent chance of not being molested yet...

I just bought a 99 Manual Realtime 4WD CR-V.

They exist with the b20 under the hood. They are rare :D and im hacking it apart :p
