I am thinking about getting a wrecked Mits. lancer evolution and putting into a crx. I have a guy that says he can fabricate everything i need. Just wanted to see if anyone has heard of anyone doing this?

yes, its easier than a GSR swap....

in a mirage chassis.

Yeah, actually I've heard plenty of people talk about doing this. There's usually about one or two a month that show up here and talk about fabricating an AWD Honda in fact.

We tell them not to waste their time or money, they argue with us a bit, and then they dissapear and are never heard from again, and we presume that their AWD Civic/CR-X/Integra never gets finished (if in fact it was ever even started at all).

Any other questions?

its such a fucking waste of time. just buying a wrecked evo will cost more than your rustbucket honda chassis. OP if you are really serious, join my board we'll show you what is up, i'm RPW00mirage and my chassis is even for sale there with most of the work already completed.

on the other hand, buying an old mirage, swapping in a 4g63t and AWD will cost you about 5K total cost. my build... about 10K.

Well I have seen the mirage with this done and its nice. But I have other plans for me build after I get the car set up to the way I want it im going to start doing some body work to it and its not going to look like an crx anymore. Thanks everyone for your input.

please just let it look a little bit like a crx? lol too many crx's getting taken off the streets man! im about to drop about 3k just to keep mine going haha

But that's a bit easier to do than converting a CR-X to AWD...

I agree with cjvictoria. If you're going to completely change the look of the car, then why not just build a different car? Nothing wrong with wanting a unique CR-X, but they're getting more and more rare. Please don't hack yours up or rice it out too bad...
