If I won the lottery, this would be in my garage.

That car is ruined. There are WAY better looking body work concepts that came out for that car. That one happened to be the only one in a box, so the movie could build 3 replicas for filming.

Other than in the headlight area and the manner in which they blend the front fenders with the bumper I completely disagree.

Nice looking ride - to each his own for preferences. I would probably only change one thing - repaint with a more period correct color - that would be my personal preference. Let's make it two changes - dump the butt ugly wood grain steering wheel - that just doesn't go with this type of performance package.

A close friend in HS had full access to 1969 Mach 1, with the 428 Cobra Jet package - had lots of fun in that car. Hence, my preference for a period correct color.

Like the powerplant, 6 speed tranny, 4:11 ring/pinion gear set - it would be real fun to drive.

I am, however, saving up for those wheels. That's why my Mustang has been sitting idle for 3 weeks. The wheels are the most expensive part of my build.

The Shelby wheels in 18", or 20". I need those wheels to actually measure out how much of my fenders need to be cut, and how much fender flare I need. Then I can paint. The paint is ready, the equipment is ready, the bay is ready.

But goddam. It's like $1200.

I remember putting down $500 for each tire with my Supra. Glad those days are over. I think we take for granted how far tire technology has actually come, and how the prices have fallen.

Depends, my 20s for my truck weren't that bad, under 700 shipped. They are polished aluminum and weigh like 21 pounds.
