or burn, or anything? wtf.

i was outside painting my deck all day today in shorts and topless in the morning, and a t-shirt int he afternoon to keep the chest from melting off in the higher sun.

I applied spf4 tanning oil to my body once, and re-did my chest/shoulders a few extra times before the shirt went on.

face, chest, back, arms... all burnt.

legs.

forever pasty.

wtf.

i was in multiple lights, laying, sitting, standing, on 3 sides of the house, so its not like i blocked them all day. wtf

Legs are dry. Moist skin tans better than dry skin. Leg skin is also very thick. Also not as perpendicular to the sun as the rest of your body. Hence your neck is stupid tan usually.

Thicker skin takes longer to tan than thinner skin on like your back, chest, arms and face.

Shave those legs and apply some canola oil to em'. Bet they'd tan then!

My arms are weird too. I could lay under the sun all day with the inside of them turned up and outward towards the sun and there would be little to no difference. However the outside will burn/tan in no time.

wear shorts more and they'll tan up.. i have really white legs at the beginning of the summer usually and somewhat dark at the end of summer

I wear shorts all the time this year. its been hot/sunny for over 2 months now. still, 0 color. not even a hint of a sock tan line at all.

you look like a giant hairy pistachio...

and tanning oil? use that on your legs and sunscreen on your upper body. maybe that would help?

the legs are always in the shade due to shadow?

Not sure about that... My legs and feet are pretty much the exact same tan color as the rest of me, so im not sure how well this applies. I work outside and fish a lot on days off, but Im mostly trying to avoid the sun if possible, and i definitely wear 50spf every day of my life. B, you legs are just weird.

Im with you B. My arms tan, shoulders neck and chest burn all the while my legs are still white. In my case Im going to agree with recked and his shadow theory.

Shadow shouldn't apply, as i was in all kinds of various positions of sitting, laying, double inverted upside down lean overs, and all kind of other poses to get to every nook and cranny.
