Can I us a 93 civic proportioning valve on my 93 del sol si?

I dont want to pay the dealership almost 200$ and wait to after september to be able to drive my car again

Also if it does have rear disk breaks, and integra with disk breaks in the rear work just as well

easiest way to know is do a search for the part numbers on each car and see if it has the same part numbers. The parts departments at the dealer can also check for you. I have good luck talking to them and trying to talk about interchangeable parts. Key that you have to consider is that if you use the wrong one, you may limit the pressure to the rear brakes and potentially under-brake the car. On the other hand, it could not limit enough and you will lock the rear wheels before the front (and maybe send you into a slide). You have to get it right, seems like a innocent part but could have big change to the performance of the car.

What are these 'breaks' you guys are talking about?

I can't spell to save my life, so if my spelling is off.. my bad...

The Valve is located on the Fire wall, were all break lines run, in less you have ABS * Prelude * and then its different. The valve puts more pressure upto the front breaks, than the rear in Dumb, and is slightly different with rear disk breaks vs drum....

So hope this helps....
this is what we r talking about... with 8,000 posts I would assume your fucking with us:rolleyes:
