i have a stock 1989 civic hb what head could i put on it . would like to make it v-tec ..

hi i have a 97 civic with D15B non v-tec but would like 2 swap with a F20 sohc vtec,do i have 2 replace the standerd engine mounts,modify them or do they fit right,many thanxx

No, that was your answer- use a Z6 or Y8 head.

New mounts, or make hybrid mounts with your stock ones and the F series ones + welder.

sorry , so the z6 or y8 will blot on and work with the block i have ? and what else would i have to switch out or make/get . im some what new to to swaps and this is my 1st one ..

It's almost that easy- but not quite. Go read up on "mini-me" swaps. There's info in our research section, and that term will get you all kinds of hits all over your favorite search engine too.

so i guess i go with the Z6 head on my D15b1 block .. seems like it could be done in a couple of days . and for not that much cash ..
