Well.
Just thought I would start a thread about it.
happening soon.

thoughts on the Romney-Ryan ticket?
anybody had any second thoughts about Obama?

I dont much care for Romney, and still dont know exactly what to thing of ryan, except that he seems willing to change viewpoints pretty easily.

Another year of choosing between the lesser of two evils.

I know that i dont want obama in again, but i struggle a lot with the republican views on women and gay rights, and just forming a lot of laws based on religion.

Edit: personally, i think obama already has it won. the GOP failed to impress with the vp pick. i think the whole election rested on this decision, and they dropped the ball, again.

Not nearly as bad as they could have, but yea, agreed, Ryan is a less than stellar VP pick. The only advantage he has over Mittens is that he can stay on the same side of an issue for more than fifteen seconds. He's views on abortion are more of the ridiculous moral majority bullshit, his financial plan is never going to happen, and ...eh, there's more I just can't think of it atm.

After these 4 failure years of Obama I will vote for Romney. I don't really like him that much either but I think he will be better than another 4 years of Obama. I still think we need more than 2 parties to accurately represent the US. Neither party now truly represents my beliefs.

I don't really know if you can call it failed 4 years? And I'm not a fan by the way. He inherited quite the mess from G dub.

G DUB took a shit and didn't flush. Like shit everywhere double flusher and didn't flush. It ain't going to go down in a one and out. That's for sure. You know what i'm talking about.

He inherited quite the mess from G dub.

he inherited not a damn thing.
he took that shit.
he volunteered for a job, and said he could fix it.
like most things american: he half assed it, and ultimately, nothing good came of it.

he knew what he was getting into.
he knew that he couldnt do anything, but said he could.

i hate it when people throw that excuse up for him.

You didn't get my shit reference did you? NO matter what you do, the entire bull of shit isn't going to flush in the first cycle. Regardless of how good you are at pushing the lever, you still have a half full bowl of shit. Maybe he shouldn't have made a claim that he'd "disappear" the shit. Then poop in it while waiting for the old shit to disappear.

Now the question is, who do you want shitting in the bowl and pressing the lever.

Funny, so many people say the same thing "I don't really like Romney, but I'll vote for him to get rid of Obama". Sucks that these are our choices...

I completely agree, we definitely need more parties to more accurately represent the people, unfortunately people are too stupid to have other parties, it would confuse them too much.

This. He wanted the job, he got it. I can't believe there's actually people out there that thought this buffoon would be able to/want to change shit.

I don't think anyone has voted for a president in a couple decades, rather they have only been voting against the other guy. Then again, anyone that thinks the campaign trail spew is what they are going to get once the chump is in office is just naive.

My take on it all is that people need to stop letting the government speak and do for everyone. We can do and speak for ourselves... or at least I can. IDK about everyone else, but f Obama in the ear! I'm voting for Romney, and not because I'm a fan but because I think Obama needs to be gone.

Ron Paul is no longer running. He officially retired from politics at the RNC. However, his state of mind continues on.

Gary Johnson is still running on the ind. ticket. And he will be getting my vote. He was governor of New Mexico, so he has the same level of experience that Mitt has if you're worried about qualifications.

And, he's a big fan of liberty.

Ryan is not. He voted FOR the NDAA.... remember that sticky? F him. and F his ticket.

Don't vote for the lessor of two evils that will end up with your country being run the exact same as the past 4 years. Hell, the past 200 years... Vote for a man who wants to fix shit and believes in the fundamentals of liberty and our Constitution.
Gary Johnson 2012

Tell your friends.
Make them tell their friends.

Face it, your state is likely going to vote the same way it always does anyway winning red or blue one way or the other like it always does so your vote doesn't really matter too much in the scheme of things. So why not just stand up and actually vote your heart. When the 3rd party starts winning 15% of the vote, the mass media might actually stand up and talk about how 15% of people decided to 'throw away their vote' because the 2 choices sucked. It's the path to the disoltion of the 2-party system that is flawed beyond belief and opens doors to a better future where a 3rd party candidate actually might not be considered an underdog. My friend was at the RNC with the Ron Paul camp last weekend and the shit that happened down there to keep them out, away, or ignored- even when paul had won states and had legal delegates that should have been seated- is just absolutely appaling. It makes me want to go to city hall and put my party back to independent... but I know in my heart that staying in the party and doing all I can to fix what is wrong with it that I can, one post or one action at a time, is the right thing to do. Paul has been fighting the good fight for 30 years. It took 22 for someone to even listen to him. 20 years from now, we should look back on times like these and history will show that great men tried to fix it and weren't part of the machine or the company. And you'll be able to know that your vote was a part of that movement.

It's a bug in our own mental software. We have no reason to vote for these two but we feel like our vote 'won't count' if we don't pick one of the 'popular' people, even if someone else is probably more likely to get more votes if everyone were to vote the way they actually wanted.

Some would say the current system intentionally encourages that thinking, but that's another story.

A lot of people will be 80% on that side as well and still, the mass media influcned your decision to 2 people. you have been duped by the very process by which you are fighting to save.

End the company. End the crap in washington. It starts here by informing a couple people here that never heard of him... and you passing it on to your famliy and friends who never heard of him, and so on and so forth until it reaches the end of the chain.

Speak up, talk up, spam your facebook, inform others that there IS another choice and that if both core options suck anyway, why not put your vote where it can actually mean something.

Sweet, you can link to your whole results page:

My results

EDIT: In fact, stuff like this should be monitored by all the candidates and be right there on the ballot machine before you vote.
