Pretty fucking impressive that he didn't break his neck.

How is he a squid ?

Also, the recorder of this should have given him WAY more room. The whole ride was sloppy and poorly executed.

in the very first seconds of the video, it looks the camera person and another red bike where riding staggered and both saw the truck slowing down and turning. then moments before the crash, it seems like the orange z10x attempts to cut between both the camera and red bike for slowing down and do a S bend around the trailer, but ends up miscalculating and eats sh*t? i think its the rider's fault.

some have pointed out that the trailer was illegal because it had no lights or plate. either way, this guy is very lucky.

even if the trailer were illegal this guy should have seen the brake lights on the ducatti and the other red bike.
it looks to me like he was trying to play catch up, or hot shot, and got caught off guard
don't know that the ducati should have allowed him more room, it might have been nice but i dont see how a bike in front of this guy should be responsible to have eyes behind him and be the caretaker for a follower

if anything the zx10 should have gone wide left, or just applied the left side of his brain to operate his right wrist up, right fingers squeeze, and right foot down

it doesnt take a degree in physics to determine he might have been traveling too fast given the airtime and distance he got off his attempt at wingless flight, ka-kawwww
and i'm speaking from experience as a rider who has come in way too hot on more than one occassion

its not speed that fucks you up... its the sudden stop

and im speaking from experience as a rider who went from 45-0 in about 2 feet against the side of a dodge ram on one occasion

:)

Been there before too.

It's called the rule of "Three"

There are three different impacts in a wreck. You vehicle impacts whatever you hit, your body impacts the items in=side the vehicle (ie steering wheel), and your internal organs impact the walls of the body in which they are contained.

There's your "fun fact" of the day lol

Because he was riding over his head? Even if that guys tail lights didn't work, the rider should have been riding slowly, more responsibly, and paying more attention.

First thing they teach us when preparing to ride on the track is that YOU are directly responsible for the rider in FRONT of you. Even if they are "swerving" (which they aren't supposed to) around the track, it is still your responsibility to pass them safely.

Also, when riding on the track, all lights are taped up so powers of observation are extremely important. It's fairly easy to tell when someones braking by the tell tale signs, weight shifting towards front, visually slowing down, etc.

This rider obviously was not responsible enough to be riding a ZX10 and it's really unfortunate that he didn't succumb. Another one escapes a Darwinian award.

baggy jeans - check
T-shirt - check
untied sneakers - check

other than a helmet and possibly gloves im not seeing any gear

Oh. A Squid refers to a rider with no gear. They are soft and delicate.

A Squid is a motorcycle rider who, experienced or not, rides outside his abilities and sets poor examples by attire, propriety, and general behavior on the motorcycle.

Maybe I'm not seeing it - I saw a jacket. And the jeans ? Eh.. maybe they are those Icon jeans with the built-in armor.

I dunno. Not that important.

When I wrecked (At 15mph) the only parts of me that took damage were the EXACT area between my boots and my icon pants, and the inch between the pants and the jacket.

That shit makes a difference.

video is gone from youtube, but still on streetfire.

maybe he's got crossed eyes or only one eye, and no depth perception
even if he was driving too fast i wouldn't wish death on anyone unless they were responsible for the life of another
we've all been there

nothing personal chaz, lol

Yeah thats a bit harsh.

I don't wish death on anyone but I also have 0 compassion for stupidity. If you fuck up, own up. Don't expect me to feel sorry for your mistake.

Meh, you've gotta die from something. Id rather die like that than be a frat boy and die choking on my own vomit.

Would make one hell of a story if he did die.

"Oh dude, did you here about how <insert name here> died?"
"No man."
"Fuck dude, he launched like 100 feet in the air after running into the back of a trailer doing 200 miles an hour on his pussy magnet superbike!"
"Dudeee that guy lived life man..."
