Figured out the new thread thing, good job

I am going to try to not sound like a dick, but, punctuation, and sentences help a LOT to get your point across, and help people understand what exactly it is you are asking.

What is your budget? And your end power goal? Daily driver? Weekend warrior? Trailer Queen? Do you like the straight line, or the twisties?

IMO, suspension and brakes should be the first stop on any modders new project, all that power you want to make does no good if it can't get to the ground, and stay there, and then stop when done. That being said, I would go for a 1.8L/2.0L block, and Frankenstein that nasty bitch.

Rods, pistons, cams, header, intake manifold. Should net you 180-200 crank HP if done right, and Rev to 11-12k
I had something like this in my civic a while back, its still gutless till you hit 4k.
Your best bet to make power with a b16 is Turbo, its cheaper, and you will get a significant gain in HP over n/a

did the four wheel disc conversion already and car is lowered on skunk 2 coil overs. budget is around 2-3 grand. josh crewdson engine makes 170hp stalk so u do not no wat your talkin about. thanks 96b16vx

The B16A makes 170hp, but that's not wheel, so his statement isn't far off.

170hp is stock.
You're telling me I could not have raised the compression ratio to 12.5:1, put stage 3 crower cams in it, added an aebs intake manifold w/70mm TB, and a tri-y header; and gotten 195hp at the crank(possibly more with a better tune)?
Why dump all that money into a motor if you can't even gain 25hp?
I dynoed 195 crank HP.
