Allen Deluxe 4-Bike Hitch Mount Rack review - Hands on Kitchen

I just received my bike rack from Amazon, was iffy on it due to price but the reviews on amazon were mostly 4 and 5 stars.

The unit came very well packed, 3 bolts 3 screws, and 3 different pieces of metal. Took about 5 minutes to put together.

Once mounted into my 2 inch trailer hitch and the 19mm nut tightened down that holds it to the hitch, everything snugged up nicely. Very solid.

Haven't had it loaded up with 4 bikes but I see no reason as to why it wouldn't work flawlessly fully loaded up.

Storing the rack is also simple, I have it hanging on my fast track system from rubber made. Once I buy another fast track arm, I will hand the rack directly on the wall reducing the amount it sticks out into the garage.

For $89 I'm very impressed with it.

Nice! I need to unload all my old Yakima stuff. I just have hard mounts for my bikes in the bed of my truck now.

I wonder if they have bike trays that tilt that I can use on my Legacy. I have a Yakima trunk rack on my Accord that mounts to the bike's frame; but it's sort of a PITA since I have a full-suspension bike(can't really use the "anti-sway" strap/mount and the bike is tilted since both of the "arms" won't fit under the top tube).

The 4 bike rack is a 2 inch only hitch the 2 and 3 bike racks are both 2 inch and 1 1/4 inch.

Yup had a trailblazer for awhile. We go though a lot of cars lol.

Like 2 years ago? lol I took the Mercedes to work and while there, we had about 1.5-2 inches of snow fall, it was enough to get me stuck on the way home. I said F that, never again. We went out the next week and added the SUV to our collection. The next weekend we got like 2 feet of snow. Good timing.

Haven't been stuck in snow since.

No but ditched it about a year later when I cut back my work hours to focus on other things.

If I sold the Mercedes and picked up an SUV I would have got a GLK350 or LandRover.
