Hey guys I'm very new on this forum just actually started today (never really been a forum guy) but I would like some help on input on my build that i really can't get from anyone around my area. I got a jdm pr3 type r swapped eg coupe for dirt cheap. It is fairly healthy and has some ok parts. But i want to make it my own car so I'm redoing the whole set up. Right now I want to do an oem rebuild on the motor and debating what trans to use. This build may take a year or two but i'm in no hurry i want to do it right. So feel free to put in your ideas or opinions

Thank you

My car
96 Jdm Type R b18c
Still has ps and ac
Running on a chipped p28 with a type r base map
b16a2 trans stock clutch
and a few bolt ons

Yeah... leave the engine alone until you're done upgrading everything other major system in the car. Doing a stock rebuild on a healthy engine is just wasting money. If you end up trying to rebuild the engine anyway and want to make it more powerful, you'll just be even more unbalanced with suspension and brakes that can't handle the power of that engine in that car.

I'd also look into eventually throwing an LSD into that B16 trans or swap out the trans for a CTR or ITR trans...

^^^^LOLed too hard.

side note: healthy motor let it be for now, without the proper suspension where would all that power take you?
