-and p28 od1

and every thing is stock

i search about that .... some people say 6200- 6800rbm some say is 8500- 9000 rbm

so i dont know what the bast and safe for my b20v stock

but if i make the redline about 8000-8200 is good or not for my engine !?

ty for red my post and help ^_^

ok. well if you are tuning ur p28 and setting redline and motor is stock..
concern is with block... depending which block it is b20z b20b. and so on...

if you have no arp rod bolts and stock rods i would not rev past what the b20 block is ment to. which would be around 6800.. but me personally i wouldnt drive it without building the block.

oky if i want go to 8000- 8200 rbm << what i must change in the block ?

and if i change it rods and pistons << thay give me more hp or just more rbm ?

and plz man i new for b20 vtec so what the bast rods u think

sorry man i mean i have arp rods bolts also the oil kit for block to head also i have it ...

that mean i can run to 8000-8200 rpm ?

ok you can go to 8000 all u want but not safely.
possible damage to engine.

to do it safely you need h beam rods or shotpeen the rods.. <<< however u spell that name..
pistons are a plus with higher compression for more power..
also arp rod bolts are a plus.. h beams usually come with them for a decent price.

the main thing to do after the build is tune... tune tune tune. without that your almost guaranteed to destroy the motor at some point in time.
also breaking the motor in. if u do rods and pistons you mine as well get new rings.

There is no harm in setting redline past 8k when tuning its about how u drive it and how often u plan on taking it past 8k

Wrong. The parts in a B20 block were designed for a particular redline. You can rev to 8000 one time and grenade the bottom end. The parts are just too weak for that. Doing it once may not kill it, but it will compromise those parts. Then it may blow up at any rpm.

Make sure you swap in VTEC water and oil pumps as well. You're stock ones were also not built for doing much more than they were designed for. Honda is notorious for designing parts to do what they are suppose to, and not much more.

Rod bolts are the weak link in the rods, with stock rods we only rev em to 7800 rpm with great success. I have stock rods on my build but I had arp rod bolts pressed on.

I beat the living hell out of my engine and its still running strong.

The difference in the water pumps (vtec vs non vtec) is in the amounts of teeth. The oil pumps are the SAME. SAME EXCAT PART NUMBERS. A big difference between vtec blocks and non vtec blocks is the girdle/pickup assemblies, not to me tion the oil squirters....
