How can you even tell it's about zombies from the trailer other than the letter "Z" in the title?!

Looks awesome.

nice they followed absolutely NOTHING in the entire fucking book
:disgust1:

im sure ill go see it, but why name it after the book if you arent even remotely going to follow the story line

FWIW the book was excellent... not sure ill be able to say the same about this movie

I was kind of thinking the same thing, why didn't they just make this movie and make it have nothing to do with the book. It would have made more sense to do it that way.

As others said, not even close to to novel. I will probably watch it via Netflix/Redbox as well. I really was hoping they would have shown a shot of The Lobotomizer they came up with in the book. Not that it would have done much for the story but it would have been a nice hat tip.

Apparently you guys have no idea how to make money at the box office. You might know how to make good movies, but we're not making movies these days, we're selling tickets.

:shrug2:

I Am Legend didn't follow a word of the novel either, but I found it to be one of the most adrenaline-inducing films I've ever seen.

I liked the book world war z enough to send it to my brother(zombie fan), and buy a copy for my buddy living abroad and send to him. I have a copy and have the zombie survival guide. Love max brooks. He spoke at my college while I was there and he was awesome. If he was involved(definitely was) it will be good.

Is it a sell out to the book? Yeah definitely. Will it be entertaining? Probably.

And we all like brad pitt.
