Ok, so I'm not the uber astronomy guru, however I do know a few things.
1) the largest asteroid in our solar system is < 600 miles wide....did some research, they switched feet for miles.
2) 1.8x10^-5 miles is 1.14 inches
3) if one used a telescope for 1.14 inches, you're gonna have a bigger problem....like the curvature of the earth......and likely stupidity of watching a cataclysmic event through a telescope.
a quick 4)...you wouldn't be able to see this with an off the shelf telescope for less than 700-800 bucks.
