I am in the process of replacing a router. Very simple requirments. It only supports one wired MAC desktop, and one wifi iPhone5.
It currently has a sams club Cisco that is randomly not connecting, and it just keep happening more and more frequently.

In my office we have a DLink DIR825 that has been very reliable for the last couple years. I was thinking about just buying another one of those? But I wanted to see if there was a new leader for reliable routers in the market place? Price range is $100.

Best buy has the DLink DIR825 on sale right now for $78 bucks from 110 or whatever it normally is, but its also old school since its been out for a couple years.

Ive been having multiple issues with just about every wireless router on the market with the iphone 4s and 5.

Not really sure what it is, 3 mac products in the house and they all seem to wreck my wireless. It's making me consider buying an airport router and calling it a day.

Airport Router is probably good for what you need and once you set it up you will never have to again.

airports work great, if you aren't linking them together.

at the office we run meraki units :) at home i run a dlink N router.

Well in all fairness, my macbook was free from work, and my 4s was free from work. The only mac product I've spent my own money on was an extra charger for my laptop.

All of my in laws, 7 deep, all have iphones, and my wireless router took a shit on thanksgiving multiple times.

I brought this exact issue up at work, and the only people that claim to have no wireless issues have airports. All the other guys on my team run WRT54G routers, all super tech geeks, have the same issue with wireless and mac devices.

whats the range on an airport? this is an old church with a huge floor layout
if the airport plays so nicely with iPhones I might recommend that.
My boss has an iPhone and it never has trouble connecting to the Dlink in the office.
i hate mac's
sidenote, anyone want to buy a verizon iPhone 4 16gb (not 4s)
I have 2 that are about 18 months old each. One is minty fresh, the other is a clean chassis, but has a cracked screen.
tronicbuyer is offering $157 for the mint one and $79 for the one with the cracked screen.
iPhone 4 screen kits are 30-40 on amazon. there are youtube videos that show you how to do it.

I don't personally have any experience with the airport router, but guys who's opinion I trust love them. They are apple fan boys, granted, but they're very sharp.

why not, solid as a rock, QoS, extensible firewall?

If it aint broke, why fix it?

because wireless N. i couldnt even DREAM of backing up my stuff over G at home, where cat5 is not an option.

my router is in my landlords apartment on the 3rd floor. like i said, not an option to drill a hole through the floor and run a cable.

Airport and be done with it. Guest Wireless is clutch too.
