I just got booked for a training class in Beford, MA the week March 25th.

I've never been up that way before and neither has my wife, so I thought maybe I'd use the trip to take her somewhere for Easter weekend since it is that following weekend.

I was thinking either stay in Boston for the weekend or drive up to Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, etc. I'd like to probably be somewhere within a couple of hours drive of Boston since we'll probably fly back to Denver on Monday April 1st.

Thanks for the tips.

I know that. :) I'm sure you guys know that region better than anyone else I might know.

If we can make it happen I'd love to meet up with some of you while I'm out there. I've been on this forum a long time and have never had an opportunity to meet any of you.

I wasn't sure how close anyone was to the Bedford area, it is pretty far out there away from Boston proper.

march can still be pretty snowy.... making tough plans may be whited out....

I was thinking that might be an issue, March is the snowiest month for Denver.

If we happen to be there during a storm, I thought maybe we'd stay the weekend downtown somewhere so that we could have access to the subway to get around a bit.

connecticut sucks.

give me a heads up when you're about 2-3 weeks out. i'm sure we can work something out. fire & ice and a date night in the north end could be lots of fun.

The clock museum does sound amazing. New Haven might be fun, get to see the Yale campus.

:lmao: the clock museum
i drive by that shit every day to and from work
other than school trips that force people to go there i dont think anyone actually steps foot in that place

new haven has some really good places to eat... other than that its mostly a shit hole
the yale campus is not really all that much to see
its planted in the middle of the city (surrounded by shit hole) couple cool looking old stone buildings
other than that :shrug2:
if you go to new haven grab lunch at one of the places in town and GTFO

the ESPN tour might be cool if you are REALLY in to ESPN
you can see the studios where a bunch of the shows are shot (sports center etc)
other than that its not really all that interesting (my opinion may be skewed by the fact that i work there and dont give a hot shit about sports)... we do have a baller ass cafeteria though :)

other than that CT has 2 big ass casinos, a shitty shoreline, a few small old new england towns, and ummmm :shrug2:

E you totally forgot about the carousal museum.

:lmao:
im not even sure i know where the hell that is... i just know its in bristol

but if youre gunna go there you might as well head a few minutes west and hit up the lock museum and the eli terry waterwheel in terryville too... :disgust1:

new haven is a fucking dump. there's like 1 good street there with a few restaurants, and the rest of it is the gheto.

By that logic they also need to hit up page and rockwell park.

Just an Idea...not sure if you are into Baseball but the Yankees play the RedSox on April 1st at 1pm EST at Yankee Stadium. Doesn't really get any better then that.

You could always catch the game, and take a 7pmISH flight out of NY.

Ick. These are your plans ?

you're gonna be SOOOOOO disappointed.

If you're talking about the Clock museum in Waterbury - it's an interesting place if you're into war-time machining and ordinance. Other than that, it's pretty small. Also, it's in a terrible little town called waterbury.

Cape Cod is cool in the off season but not much will be open.

Burlington VT is a nice area. I traveled a lot there for work but never got to explore.

March can either be nice or still snowy. Near the end of the March it will probably be decent out.

What are you into?
